All Sky Broadband packages come with a wireless router, 10 sky.com email addresses, and 12 months' free McAfee security, to help protect you and your family from spam, identity theft and other online risks. All Sky Broadband customers can enjoy using 10 email addresses, a digital photo service and 24/7 technical support.

What are the terms of Sky Broadband packages?
Well, you need to be a Sky TV customer and you have to sign a contract of minimum of 12 months
What is Sky Talk ?
Sky Talk is the telephone service offered by Sky TV. You can choose and pick from 2 call packages viz
Sky Talk Freetime and Sky Talk Unlimited. You could also go for Sky Talk Line Rental which provides you with a phone line against your BT compatible line. Sky Talk Freetime allows you to make free evening and weekend calls to UK landline numbers and you do need to pay for Sky talk line rental. On the other hand with Sky Talk Unlimited you can make unlimited calls to UK landlines, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Thus, Sky TV customers can enjoy managing their line rental and calls along with their Sky TV subscription which makes managing 2 or more services very easy and convenient for them.
Installation
Does the Sky TV installation take up lot of time?
A standard Sky TV set up does not take up much time, maximum time needed could be 60 mins. Sky trained engineers do function efficiently and ensure you enjoy a fuss free installation.
When should I expect the Sky Engineers to arrive for installation?
Sky engineers will arrive at a time chosen by you. You could go for a morning or afternoon installation time, either between 8am and 1pm, or between 12pm and 5pm, depending upon your residence location. In case you reside in a non timed area, you could go for 'all-day call' policy wherein the engineer will call well in advance before arriving at your place for installation.
The Sky engineers will be carrying the Sky Digital TV box and the minidish when they arrive for your installation while the viewing card will be sent in advance through mail.
How soon will I be able to watch Sky TV after installation?
You will be able to watch Sky TV on the very same day of the installation. Make sure the visiting Sky engineer activates your viewing card and demonstrates the entire functioning pattern of Sky TV box. You will need to activate your PIN which is present on the reverse of the viewing card. Also, ensure that you reset your PIN to avoid its misuse.
I live in a flat, how will I receive Sky TV ?
In your case, you do require a special installation procedure which Sky undertakes as it requires additional work.
What does the Sky TV minidish look like?
The Sky TV mini dish carries a matt black finish and is just 60 cm across in width.
What if the Sky TV equipment breaks or gets damaged ?
The Sky TV equipment enjoys a 12 month warranty. In case of problems during that period, you could enjoy a free service call to solve the issue. After that period you can enjoy Sky service against payment or opt for Sky Protect which can be called as an extension of warranty
What is Sky Protect ?
Sky Protect is a special service from Sky through which you could protect your digital satellite system from breakdown or damage. In case of damage, Sky Protect will cover any repair or replacement costs which means you do not need to pay anything
A Few Important Points to take care of on the eve of your Sky TV Installation
- You have a free electrical socket near your TV plug.
- You could keep the place free of furniture and ornaments in the area where Sky Box is to be placed
- The working plug in telephone sockets which are used for making and receiving calls is within 10 metres of your Sky Box.
- Ensure that an adult person is available in the house for guiding the Sky Engineeer through the dish and the cable installation procedure
- In case the installation site is blocks of flats, listed building or conservation areas, make sure you have the requisite planning permission handy which ensures a smooth installation procedure.
- Any access or parking restrictions if applicable should be intimated in advance to the Sky Team in order to avoid confusion during the installation day.
A Few Important Points to take care of after your Sky TV Installation is complete
- Change your PIN as soon as you receive and activate your viewing card. In case you need a reminder of your PIN, you could do so through your Sky Remote Control and accessing the Sky Active feature
- Set up parental controls by using the Sky remote control. You could turn off or on the PIN restrictions as per your preferences.
Sky is replacing viewing cards? Am I going to receive one?
Sky wishes to provide you with latest and up to date TV services and hence Sky is replacing viewing cards. Sky TV subscribers and Pay TV provider’s viewing cards will be received by Post. Those on Pay Pay Once Watch Forever and Digital Switchover (DSO) Help Scheme customers will be receiving the viewing cards through mail.
